The NuoDB Community Edition is available for Kubernetes, Docker, and physical / virtual machine host environments.


Community Edition of NuoDB limits your deployment to:

  • 3 Transaction Engines and 1 Storage Manager
  • Deployment in a single location

To deploy the Enterprise Edition of NuoDB, which has no limit on the number of TEs and SMs that can be provisioned, please contact sales@nuodb.com to buy a license.

Note: While we provide the Community Edition on both Linux and Windows, we currently only support Linux for production deployments.

NuoDB users can now deploy, run, and manage a NuoDB database natively inside the Amazon AKS, Google GKE, or Red Hat OpenShift Kubernetes container application management environments to service SQL-based applications in the cloud. PHYSICAL / VIRTUAL MACHINE HOST ENVIRONMENTS

The NuoDB Community Edition is a multi-host version of the NuoDB distributed database, limited to three Transaction Engines and one Storage Manager. 

The Community Edition is free of charge and allows you to evaluate NuoDB through a series of quick-start guides and/or build and run your applications on your own laptop, desktop, or in the cloud:

  • ACID compliant transactions
  • Rich ANSI SQL capabilities
  • Simple to use administration

STEP 1:

Review the System Requirements.

STEP 2:

To download a NuoDB Release 4.0 server package (and a client package if evaluating client tools) for the appropriate operating system, click the appropriate Download button.

By downloading, you accept these terms and conditions.

STEP 3:

After downloading the required server package, deploy NuoDB. For more information, see Installing NuoDB.

STEP 4:

After deploying NuoDB, you can install and deploy the NuoDB Insights visual monitoring tool. To enable NuoDB Insights, run the following command:

/opt/nuodb/etc/nuoca/bin/enable_insights.sh
