Drumroll Please: A Trifecta of Trophies for Couchbase

Peter Finter, CMO, Couchbase on June 17, 2020

How does an enterprise software company follow news of a substantial round of funding? With some great industry recognition, of course! I am excited to share that Couchbase was recently honored with multiple awards– for product innovation, customer feedback, and industry leadership. Specifically, Couchbase Cloud, our fully managed DBaaS solution, won the Cloud Innovation of the Year award from Tech Ascension, Couchbase was named a 2020 Top Rated award winner by TrustRadius (for the second consecutive year, I might add), and finally,  Couchbase was recognized on the DBTA list of “Companies That Matter Most in Data.”

Now, a little bit about each:

2020 Tech Ascension Awards: Cloud Innovation of the Year

Just a few short months after the initial launch, Couchbase Cloud received the 2020 Tech Ascension “Cloud Innovation of the Year” award. Couchbase Cloud is a fully-managed database as a service (DBaaS) that allows customers to pay for only what they need with unmatched control, flexibility, performance, and total cost of ownership.

The Tech Ascension awards judge nominees based on technology innovation and uniqueness, market research (analyst reports, media coverage, customer case studies), hard performance stats, and competitive differentiators. They recognize the very best innovations in B2B and B2C technology. As a “class-leading” vendor, according to judges, Couchbase proved its cloud technology solves critical industry challenges and produces invaluable business outcomes for customers.

2020 “Top Rated” Award from TrustRadius

Our mission is to deliver an enterprise-class NoSQL database that has no equal in the marketplace– one that gives our customers unmatched robust capabilities for their business-critical applications.

Consequently, we regularly look to Couchbase customers to tell us how we’re doing. As this award represents the true voice of the customer, we’re thrilled that our customers have recognized our commitment by helping us earn TrustRadius Top Rated awards for the second consecutive year.

According to Megan Headley, VP of Research at TrustRadius, “Couchbase earned Top Rated NoSQL database from TrustRadius based directly on customer feedback. Reviewers frequently highlight Couchbase’s high speed, ease of management, and reliability.”

DBTA 100 2020: The Companies That Matter The Most in Data

Last but not least, Couchbase is featured in the DBTA 100 Companies That Matter Most in Data ranking that recognizes tech companies – from the well-established to the recently launched – that are truly innovating and thereby both preparing for, and helping to shape, the future of data management. A collection of “View From the Top” columns, written by select industry leaders explaining how their organizations are uniquely handling data management problems and opportunities, this year includes an article written by Couchbase’s own Ravi Mayuram. You can read it here: View From The Top by Ravi Mayuram, CTO and SVP,  Engineering

Well done, team Couchbase, and a special thanks to our customers who continue to provide invaluable feedback to help ensure that Couchbase continues to be their database of choice, for today’s and tomorrow’s most demanding application needs.
