Dirk Bartels

Dirk Bartels was founder and CEO of POET Software, a pioneer in the object database market.

Dirk holds a master degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Berlin. He actively participated in the Object Database Management Group (ODMG) for many years and contributed to the standard. Today, Dirk's recent venture, Progio Mobile, Inc., develops mobile consumer internet applications for the health and fitness market using object technologies.
