Tilmann Zäschke

After graduating as an Engineer at the University of Darmstadt, Germany, he worked on several projects for the European Space Agency (www.esa.int), hired as contractor from VEGA Deutschland (www.vega.de). His last project there was the implementation of a persistence layer for the Herschel Space Observatory (www.esa.int/herschel). In 2009, he became a PhD student in the Global Information Systems Group (www.globis.ethz.ch) at the ETH Zurich in Switzerland, where his research focuses on object databases and agile software development. In particular he investigates agile practices and schema evolution in ODBMS, a topic which relates to his experience in agile projects in industry.
