The Euromicro Conference on Real-Time Systems (ECRTS) is celebrating its 35th event July 11-14, 2023 in Vienna, Austria. A non-profit organization, the ECRTS has been at the forefront of recent innovations in the real-time community.

True hard real-time systems are evolving along with the cutting-edge mission- and safety-critical systems they inhabit, such as the sensor data fusion in power production and distribution, or automotive safety and autonomous systems.  Unlike streaming real-time analytics systems, such as those found in financial or IoT Big Data applications, hard real-time systems must guarantee that temporal requirements will be met.

Rudi Latuske, Manager of McObject GmbH, will be presenting a real-time pitch micro talk, “Why Real-Time Systems Need a Real-Time Database” on July 12.  This 5-minute presentation will touch on what distinguishes a real-time database management system, techniques for deadline management, and transaction scheduling.
