Aircall Launches New Developer-Focused Resources to Scale Voice Ecosystem and Enrich the Phone Experience Following $65 Million Fundraise
The company offers a host of tools that enable developers to build on top of Aircall’s Public API
NEW YORK, June 25, 2020 — Aircall, a cloud-based voice platform helping companies across the globe manage millions of customer support and sales calls every day, today announced the launch of two new developer-focused resources:
- A developer-dedicated website, helping developers to leverage Aircall’s API
- A brand new Aircall Labs, delivering free experimental apps for customers
Following its recent $65 million Series C fundraise, this developer-focused strategy is part of Aircall’s broader mission to develop a voice ecosystem that is innovating for the future of sales, support, and customer experience.
Aircall provides a solid telecommunications-based foundation for other business productivity tools to be built upon. Through its simple and flexible Public API and frameworks, developers can build integrations that significantly enhance the performance and capabilities of a support agent or salesperson, ultimately allowing for enriched customer experiences.
“Since 2014, Aircall has grown significantly, helping thousands of business teams operate with greater collaboration, flexibility, and efficiency. Our recent Series C fundraise will only accelerate our mission of reinventing the phone system,” says Xavier Durand, Co-founder and Developer Advocate at Aircall. “As we’ve seen with our CRM and Helpdesk integrations, business tools are much more effective when integrated with other tools, and create a more productive way to communicate. Through our Public API, we’re eager to easily facilitate more integrations that are going to impact the bottom lines for our partners and improve the experience for their customers. AI and transcription integrations can provide insights on users’ conversations, while quality assurance integrations can provide advanced reporting, and the addition of survey tools can better understand customer satisfaction rates.”
The new set of resources launching today will serve as a hub for partners and developers looking for complete API documentation, content, and tutorials that make it simple to build the best tools for your needs, and instructions on how to then take their projects to the Aircall Marketplace. In addition to the more than 80 partnerships that are already seeing value from integrations built on Aircall’s Public API, Aircall will be launching Aircall Labs, an initiative to develop fun and delightful experience apps in-house. A weather app—that lets users know the weather of the location on the other end of the phone—will be the first app in Aircall Labs and its code will be open-sourced, showing developers how to build apps on top of Aircall, from concept to completion.
