Dr. John Goodwin, Principal Scientist, Ordnance Survey
John is currently one of the principal scientists in Ordnance Survey’s research department where he leads research in data delivery and data management. Over the last twelve years his research has mostly concentrated on semantic web technologies, linked data and ontologies. On the back of this research he produced the Ordnance Survey’s linked open data offering (which can be found at http://data.ordnancesurvey.co.uk).
As well as working at Ordnance survey John also participates in the UK Government linked data working group, and is currently on the W3C Data on the Web Best Practices Working Group.
